Almost every Android flagship is said to sport the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810. If a report is to be believed, you can scratch the Samsung Galaxy S6 off that list.

The report comes from DigiTimes. According to the site, Samsung has decided to no longer use the Snapdragon 810, due to its overheating issues. Like we said in previous reports, ditching Qualcomm’s flagship processor won’t be a big problem for Samsung since it does manufacture its own CPUs – Exynos. According to the report, Samsung will be using its 14 nm Exynos chips for the S6.

Like we said earlier, most Android flagships are planning to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. If the reports claiming that the processor is plagued with issues, these flagships may be facing delays. Other flagships rumoured to sport the Snapdragon 810 include the LG G4, HTC Hima, and Sony XPERIA Z4.

Since we can’t confirm if this report, or any report claiming that the Snapdragon 810 is plagued with issues, take it with a grain of salt.
